About

Sead Emrić, born on August 19, 1965, is a Bosnian artist specializing in painting, graphics, and unique design.

He completed his studies at a cultural high school in Bosanska Krupa in 1984 and graduated from the Pedagogical Academy of the University of Banja Luka in 1990.

Emrić furthered his expertise in unique graphics at the International Graphic Arts Center (MGLC) in Ljubljana from 2009 to 2011. He has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUBiH) since 1997 and joined the Association of Applied Arts Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUPUBiH) in 2022.

To date, he has exhibited his artwork in over 100 solo exhibitions and approximately 150 group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Emrić has also participated in numerous art symposiums.

Emrić has received several awards and recognitions, including:

  • 2015: Premio de Artes Graficas “Amis du Salon d’Automne de Paris” in Sao Paulo.
  • 2011: First Award for graphic art at the 1st International Biennale of Arts in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • 2011: Prize of Aljazeera Art Symposium in Doha, Qatar.
  • 2010: Prize of Cultur via Europa in Klagenfurt, Austria (EU).
  • 2010: Prize city of Istanbul, City of Culture Europa, in Istanbul, Turkey.
  • 2009: First Award for graphic art at the 5th Biennial of Miniature Arts of BiH in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • 2009: First Award for drawing at the 5th Biennial of Miniature Arts of BiH in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • 2009: Prize city of Linz, City of Culture Europa, in Linz, Austria.
  • 2007: First Award for drawing at the 4th Biennial of Miniature Arts of BiH in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • 2007: First Award for culture and art, Plaque city of Buzim, in Buzim, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • 1999: First Award for culture and art, Plaque Una-Sana Canton, in Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
